Out and About Day Camp
Summer Camp FAQs
We contract licensed teachers and content/activity specialists to instruct many of our large group and/or active option programs. Camp counselors have extensive experience working with children and most are pursuing careers in education.
Camp will be held Rain or Shine. For inclement weather, please dress your child appropriately. Planned activities will simply move indoors or be slightly altered to meet the active objectives of our camp program.
Our camp ratio is approximately 1:12.
Each camper must be dropped off at camp; there is no transportation service. We do contract through various bus companies to meet our bussing needs (field trips, swimming, etc.). This is included in your camp fee.
Unfortunately, there is not refrigeration space for campers’ lunches. We request you pack your child’s lunch in an insulated lunch box.
Each day your child should bring a lunch, swimsuit, towel, water bottle and sunscreen. ALL SHOULD BE LABELED! Out & About Day Camp will provide all the other necessary equipment for them to enjoy themselves and participate in the activities. Personal belongings such as cellular phones, playing/trading cards, video games, and other electronic items are not permitted in camp.
We believe a messy child is a happy child, therefore please dress your camper to get messy each day. Children should wear washable, light, and inexpensive play clothes. All kids must wear sneakers to camp, please do not wear sandals. Each camper will receive an Out & About Day Camp t-shirt their first day of camp.
Out & About Day Camp treats all kids as a part of our family. The majority of our activities campers are separated into age appropriate groups. Groups are dependent on the number of kids enrolled for each age level.
We offer flexible drop-off (between 7:15-8:30 am) and pick-up times (usually between 3:30-5:15 pm). We request that you provide us with written notification if there will be a change from your campers normal pick-up and drop-off routine.
The regular camp day runs Monday through Friday, from 7:15 am to 5:15 pm. There is no camp on July 4th.
